These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of BusYa ("the app"), a free public-transit information app for Montevideo, Uruguay. By using the app, you agree to these Terms.

Service

BusYa shows stops, routes, live vehicle positions, arrival estimates, and on-device trip planning based on official and third-party data. It does not sell tickets, manage STM cards, process payments, or provide emergency services.

Transit Data Is Not Guaranteed

Live positions, arrival estimates, schedules, routes, walking paths, and geocoding results may be delayed, inaccurate, incomplete, or unavailable. Vehicle data is polled rather than continuously tracked. Between updates, the app may conservatively interpolate or project a marker from its last reported position; displayed positions remain estimates.

BusYa is not an official STM or Intendencia de Montevideo product. Do not rely on it as the only source for time-critical travel. Allow extra time and check official signage and announcements when necessary.

Location and Third-Party Services

Features that use location require your permission. You can revoke it in system settings, though related features may stop working.

The app relies on services including Cloudflare, Mapbox, Sentry, OpenStreetMap data, and official Montevideo transit sources. Their availability and separate terms may affect the app. See the Privacy Policy for data practices.

Acceptable Use

Use the app lawfully and do not interfere with, overload, probe, or attempt unauthorized access to the app or its supporting services.

Intellectual Property and Licenses

The BusYa name, app design, and original code belong to their respective owners. Transit, map, and open-source data and software remain subject to their respective licenses and ownership. In-app attribution and software-license pages provide additional notices.

Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BusYa is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of uninterrupted availability, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BusYa's developers are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, missed services or connections, or other harm caused by using or relying on the app or its data. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Changes

We may update the app or these Terms. The effective date above identifies the current Terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Uruguay. Any mandatory consumer rights and jurisdiction rules remain unaffected.
